The purpose of this role is to manage client investment portfolios through research, portfolio construction, trade execution and client engagement.

Create and maintain internal research data via internal excel systems using extraction from annual reports, Sens data and various digital sources thereafter linking the results with prevailing strategist/ house economic view.

Portfolio Construction:
• Existing client: Familiarise with client mandate and client objectives,
• New client: interaction with Financial Consultant. Familiarise with client mandate and client objectives,
• Monitoring and rebalancing of portfolios to consistently achieve client objectives,
• Monitoring of portfolios as per investment philosophy guidelines and within parameters of Growth/Balanced/ Income structure,
• Monitoring and rebalancing of portfolios to adhere to porfolio construction guidelines.

Client Engagement:
• Prepare articles for publishing in Intuition that is both informative and educational,
• Prepare presentations (Powerpoint or otherwise) to inform clients through Insight investment seminars,
• Where appropriate take part in other media engagements advancing the Harvard House brand and investment philosophy,
• Partner with Financial Consultants in educating clients about the management of their portfolios either by e-mail, telephone or in face-to-face meetings,
• Prepare educational and informative feedback for Financial Consultant feedback sessions that empowers them to understand actions and rationale on client portfolios. These presentations should empower Financial Consultants to engage with confidence in the strategies implemented in portfolios.

Matric plus preference for finance-orientated Honours Degree (B.Com Econ, Finance, CA(SA)) or equivalent qualification.
FAIS and RE5
Minimum of 5 years relevant experience.
