For over 40 years David Vermaak has been dedicated to learning about clients’ personal goals, and, together with his clients, building a financial plan focused on their individual needs. A strong advocate of hands-on, on the job training and mentoring, DaveV, as he is affectionately known, has 33 years of training and development of brokers. He believes immensely that “People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care”. He is pleased to be working for Harvard House who he describes as a company that “…is honest, has integrity and gives clients a good offering.”
Prior to joining Harvard House in mid-2009 as a Financial Advisor, he held diverse brokerage positions with Nedbank, Dunlop Tyres, and later took up one of the top managerial positions at MINT Private Financial Planning, Old Mutual’s high net worth personal financial planning division. His depth of experience and professionalism makes clients count on him to be a sounding board for their investment ideas and financial needs. He lists some of his best achievements as marrying his wife of over 45 years, Sue, being instrumental in advancement of brokers-in-training, and qualifying for four overseas conventions with Old Mutual, three of which were awarded over three sequential years.
When off work, this doting grandfather of four says that he enjoys “spending time with his wife, three wonderful sons, his three truly great daughter-in-laws, and grandchildren”.
David and his wife live in Hilton.
