Harvard House is looking for an Accountant. If you have a passion for numbers, tax and accounting work and developing relationships with clients then please apply.

What the position entails:

1. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and attend clients meetings
2. Prepare complex annual financial statements
3. Analyse monthly management accounts
4. Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of complex tax calculations
5. Willingness to work overtime when required in order to meet deadlines
6. Oversee and mentor junior staff, providing guidance and support to foster professional development
7. Attend client meetings

Requirements:
– Grade 12 with accounting or a relevant accounting qualification.
– Previous working experience in an accounting field. Having worked in an accounting firm would be an advantage.
– Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office, particularly Excel.
– In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and tax regulations.

Skills and competencies required:
1. Planning and organizing
2. Detail orientated with a focus on accuracy and adherence to deadlines
3. Ability to work under pressure
4. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
5. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide valuable insights
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
