Job Description:

  1. To establish and maintain long term relationships with clients providing comprehensive financial solutions according to client needs.
  2. Build and manage a book of both existing and referred clients.
  3. Perform annual reviews and handle client queries.
  4. Analyze financial information obtained from clients to determine strategies for meeting clients financial objectives.
  5. Prepare Investment Proposals, meet with prospective clients and present a financial plan.
  6. Perform all necessary administrative duties associated with the above.
  7. Continuously broaden your knowledge base and to keep up to date technically by researching current trends.
  8. Be part of a team dynamic that strives for excellent customer service, sound and practical advice.
  9. Grow economic, financial, legal, technical and tax knowledge to assess and advise portfolio clients on a broad range of financial issues and solutions.
  10. Be prepared to study further such as completing the required Regulatory Exam (RE) 5, Certified Financial Planner (CFP) under-graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

Requirements:

  1. An undergraduate Degree, preferably with a Financial bias.
  2. Financial acumen.
  3. Good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook.
  4. Good people skills, attention to detail and good time management abilities.
  5. Good written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

The role entails the following:

  1. Schedule meetings with clients on behalf of and in conjunction with Financial Consultant
  2. Engage with new clients to process paperwork, repopulation of forms, conduct compliance checks, obtain clients signature and process of all documentation
  3. Load all client contact/meetings as contacts by effective use of CRM (Marble)
  4. Obtain policy information from companies
  5. Attend to and resolve simple client queries
  6. Escalate queries to relevant Financial Consultant where the query exceeds expertise or knowledge
  7. Assist Financial Consultants with all aspects of administration, attend to outstanding requirements from clients and signing of documents
  8. Set tasks for processing and initiate necessary follow ups with allocated Administrators
  9. Check all documents for correctness upon receipt for client signature
  10. Prepare Review documents, draft Review Letters and send to clients, on behalf of Consultants
  11. Familiarise self with all Policy and Procedures required of a Financial Consultant in respect of administration and client engagement
  12. Attend Client meetings when required with the Financial Consultants
  13. Upload FAIS documents and ensure compliance regulations are adhered to
  14. Upload all relevant client documents
  15. Processing of client instructions and any related changes
  16. Play an active role in maintaining and improving efficiencies between Consultants and Investment Administration Department.

Requirements

  1. Matric with a minimum of 3 years administrative experience with client facing exposure.
  2. Industry related experience and passed Regulatory Exam would be an added advantage.
  3. Passed Regulatory Exam is required for further career progression.
