Harvard House is looking for a Tax Administrator to join their accounting and tax team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  1. Submitting tax returns on specialised tax software (Greatsoft)
  2. Checking assessments and advising clients accordingly
  3.  Preparation of tax returns on specialised tax software (Greatsoft and eFiling)
  4.  Lodging objections and liaising with SARS to resolve queries and differences
  5. Monitoring reports on specialised tax software (Greatsoft)
  6. Managing the provisional tax runs and associated payments to SARS
  7. Attending to various SARS queries which may require visiting the SARS Branch and online video calls with SARS consultants
  8. Assisting clients with requirements for registration and de-registration of all tax types
  9. Attending to client queries
  10. Building long term client relationships
  11. Willingness to work overtime when required to meet deadlines

Qualification and experience required:

Matric with relevant experience.

– A qualification in tax would be preferable.
– Having worked in an accounting firm would be advantageous.
– Experience in SARS systems and procedures would be advantageous
– Knowledge of individual tax would be advantageous
